Monday, 9 January 2023 = deadline for submission of Entry Audition / Final Recital Forms.
If you are interested in taking part in the next scheduled Entry Audition/Final Recital Day to be held on Sunday 5th February 2023 with our Teacher Trainers, please contact the Training Administrator at teachertraining@suzukimusicnsw.com.au
Pre Requisites:
Entry Audition
Applicants must demonstrate a high level of musicianship and technical proficiency (repertoire to be at a minimum standard of AMEB 7th Grade or equivalent)
The Entry Audition pieces required to be performed by memory for each instrument are listed below:

Violin | J S Bach: Concerto in A Minor (complete) |
Viola | J C Bach/Casadesus: Concerto in C Minor (complete) |
Piano | J S Bach: Italian Concerto (complete) |
Flute | J S Bach: Suite in B Minor (complete) |
Cello | Popper: Gavotte OR Saint-Saens: Allegro Appassionato |
Guitar | 2 contrasting pieces of a minimum standard equivalent to Grade 7 AMEB Examples: a movement from a Bach Lute Suite; Scarlatti Sonata; Leopold Weiss
Plus, a more modern piece by Villa-Lobos, Brouwer, or similar |
Organ | J S Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D Minor |
Recorder | Selection of 3 pieces from Book 8 |
Please note no accompaniment is necessary for auditions
Interview
Applicants are expected to demonstrate some understanding of, and empathy with, the Suzuki philosophy along with knowledge of the content and level of commitment sufficient to complete the course successfully.
