The year is 1987 and two Suzuki students Laura McDonald and Veronique Serret are to rehearse together……
Young Veronique Serret, age 12 climbed the 105 bush steps at Laura McDonald’s water access only childhood home on Pittwater when the latter was 13 years old. They were both students of Nada and Harold Brissenden OAM and they were to rehearse and perform the very difficult 2nd movement of the Caesar Franck Violin and Piano Sonata at a concert together…….
This was the inspiration behind the concert to be performed at Queenwood School, Mandolong Rd, 5pm on March 9th 2014…..neither Veronique or Laura have played the Franck Sonata professionally and they are very excited to meet again and play this electrifying work as mature adults 27 years later. This will be a performance not to be missed!
