Come to our special study session of Hoe Down by Copland which is to be played by Level 8+ Graduates at the Graduation Concert 2024 (on 27th October at Sydney Opera House).
This study session is open to all violin students in Book 8 and above and all violin teachers. If you are not graduating a level this year, you can participate in the Graduation Concert as Past Graduate Student. Please ask your teacher how to register in July.
This is an initial study day for Hoe Down, there is no prior learning required. This session will provide an insight in to the piece, tempos, bow strokes and tips for practising it between now and the Graduation Concert rehearsals.
Please come in person if you can, it's always fun to learn and play together but this session will be offered online via Zoom for those who would like to attend but are unable to come in person.
Cost: $15 for students
There is no cost for teachers but please register your attendance so that we know how many to expect. This is an opportunity for teachers to understand the teaching points of this piece and the session will be taught by a Teacher Trainer so can also be recorded as a group lesson observation for trainee teachers.
