For Suzuki Cello, Violin & Viola Students from Book 2 to Post Book 10.
The aim of this program is to provide excellent musical education for string students in a Suzuki environment - an environment that will help nurture each student to their highest ability.
The core of this program will comprise of orchestral rehearsals and sight reading classes, with supplementary master classes, technique classes, workshops and performances, which will cover a diverse and exciting range of musical styles.
JUNIOR ORCHESTRA (Books 2 - 4)
Conductor: Elisabeth Coroneo
A string ensemble focusing on sight reading and ensemble skills in a fun and supportive Suzuki setting. Students will be taken through the systematic Strings Rock reading program from the beginner level, and will also have the chance to play exciting orchestral works.
INTERMEDIATE ORCHESTRA (Books 5 - 8)
Conductor: Katie Chilmaid
A string ensemble with a focus on building a well rounded orchestral musician.
Sight reading classes will be included in the weekly program.
SENIOR ORCHESTRA (Books 9+)
Conductor: Haruo Goto
For the advanced student. This ensemble will focus on refining and continuing to develop a sensitive approach and musical awareness for ensemble playing.
