The Professional Development Program for 2023 will include Online keynote talks, General lectures, instruments specific sessions (violin, cello, piano, viola, flute, recorder and guitar), plus a full day of live in-person sessions with our guest tutors (in violin, cello and piano).
There will be two program options to choose from, The Full Program is a combination of live in-person sessions for violin, cello and piano, and the online content, the Online Program will include all zoom live and recorded sessions.
The full program will also include observation of the 3-day student program, daily tonalisation, parents’ lectures and afternoon concerts.
The online content will run live for 2 days, and then all uploaded sessions will then be available to view until 30 June 2023.
All teachers are welcome to join all online sessions irrespective of the instrument you play. There are always valuable insights shared by our trainers that can be used in your studio with your students.

Online PD timetable available in Early 2023
We are planning another diverse and exciting Online Program with some of Suzuki’s best international and Australian trainers. The online Program will include at least 5 General PD lectures and one double session of instrument specific PD for violin, cello, piano, viola, flute, recorder and guitar. Some of the live sessions held in Sydney on 14 April 2023 will be uploaded for viewing online by 23 April 2023.
All online content will be available to view until 30 June 2023.
By enrolling in one of the PD programs offered, all NSW teachers will fulfill their required 10 hours of PD to maintain their annual accreditation and will be eligible to present students for graduation in 2023. We hope local teachers will support the live programs being offered this year, including the observation of the 3-day Student program.
PD Programs
Option 1: Full PD Program:
12-13 April 2023 Full access to online sessions – view all replays up to 30 June 2023.
14 April 2023 Live In-person sessions for violin, cello and piano. (9am-5pm).
15-17 April 2023 Observation of student program, daily tonalisation, parent talks, Concerts. (8am-4.30pm)
Note: the live PD and student program will be held at: Abbotsleigh Senior School, Wahroonga, Sydney.

Option 2: Online PD Program:
12-13 April 2023 Full access to ALL online sessions offered via zoom
23 April – 30 June 2023 NOTE: All uploaded sessions will be available for viewing during these Dates. Please note this program will only include a selection of recordings from the live in-person PD sessions).
All online sessions will be livestreamed via zoom between 12-13 April 2023. We recommend that you try to join as many live sessions as possible to have the opportunity to ask questions. Replays from the online content will be available to view 24 hours after the livestream. Recordings from the in-person training for violin, cello and piano will be available from 23 April 2023.
All replays will be available to watch again and again up to 30 June 2022.
Professional Development Fees:
PD Program Early Bird Rate (expires 28 Feb 2023) Full fee

Enrolment procedure:
- Please complete your festival enrolment online at suzukimusicnsw.com.au
- Enrol before 28 February 2023 to receive the early bird rate for the Full program.
- Closing date for all enrolments is 16 March 2023.
- You will receive an email with information on logging into the online program.

- Guest faculty listings correct at time of publishing. We are unable to accept responsibility for any changes made to guest faculty prior to the Suzuki Festival.
- All cancellations made prior to 10 March 2023 will be refunded less a $70 cancellation fee. No refunds can be made after this date.
